Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nikkhil Advani are the creators of the Indian Hindi-language biographical streaming television series “Rocket Boys” on SonyLIV. The series is based on the lives of Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai, with Jim Sarbh playing the role of Dr. Homi J. Bhabha.
The first season was a hit for SonyLIV when it began streaming in 2022, and the streamer is expecting to replicate its success with season 2, which streams from March 16.In an interview with Hindustan Times, Siddharth Roy Kapur said that Rocket Boys is a rare show that both educates and entertains: ‘It captured the imagination’.
He also mentioned that Rocket Boys was a concept brought to them by a young writer called Abhay Korane who approached them with the idea to make a show on the relationship between Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai.Regarding the possibility of continuing the story, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nikkhil Advani are not ruling out this option. They created “Rocket Boys” as a fictionalized version of Dr. Homi J. Bhabha’s story, who engineered India’s nuclear program. The second season will be released later this month
