The 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is the seventh season of the tournament, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17 to November 14, 2021. The current champions are the West Indies.
The previous 2020 T20 World Cup was scheduled to be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November 2020, however, the International Cricket Council (ICC) declared in July 2020 that it has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ICC confirmed in August 2020 that India would host the 2021 tournament as scheduled, with Australia chosen as the venue of the following 2022 event. However, the ICC stated in June 2021 that the tournament would be relocated to the United Arab Emirates due to rising concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic scenario in India

T20 World Cup 2021 VenueThe BCCI proposed the names of the locations that will host the matches on April 17, 2021. Along with Ahmedabad, the event’s final was held in Bangalore, Chennai, Dharamshala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and New Delhi. On 18 April 2021, it was confirmed that Pakistan would play two of their group matches in Delhi, while the semi-finals would be held in Mumbai and Kolkata. On June 28, 2021, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly revealed that the board has officially informed to the ICC about their plan to relocate the event from India to the UAE because to the COVID-19 situation in the country. Some of the event’s first round matches will also take place in Oman. The ICC confirmed on June 29, 2021, that the T20 World Cup would be held in the UAE and Oman. The competition will be held at four different locations: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium, and Al Amerat Cricket Stadium.The Tolerance Oval in Abu Dhabi was pending approval by the ICC to be used as one of the tournament’s locations in July 2021. Prize money The ICC announced the prize money for the tournament and total of 5.6 million US dollars is going to be dist ributed.
