What are rules government want to implement?
Government of India wants WhatsApp to provide the first originator of the message whenever authority asks for it which means to track every single message sent on WhatsApp but it violates whatsapp privacy policy because WhatsApp is an end to end encrypted and they want to have an automated process to take down pornography within 36 hours.
To oppose this WhatsApp have joined civil society and experts around the world and are ready to help the Government of India by providing practical solutions while keeping its user’s data safe.
