On March 15, 2023, a powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in the South Pacific Ocean near New Zealand at 12:56 pm (GMT -12). Additionally, a minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 occurred in the South Pacific Ocean near New Zealand on March 16, 2023, at 12:49 pm (GMT +13).
